About Early Steps Care

At Early Steps Care, we provide autism-friendly, play-based in-home childcare for toddlers ages 0–6 designed to support development, reduce daily stress, and help your family thrive. Our caregivers are not only CPR-certified and background-checked, but trained in intentional, sensory-aware care that meets your child where they are.
We serve a limited number of families at a time to ensure each child receives the deep, personalized attention they deserve: no chaotic daycares, no overstimulation, no screens. Just calm, connected care tailored to your little one’s unique rhythm.
Whether you’re a full-time parent, a working professional, or somewhere in between, we help you reclaim your mornings and build lasting routines rooted in joy, structure, and trust.

After 8 years of working directly with children across homes, clinics, and classrooms, I noticed `one heartbreaking pattern over and over: parents were overwhelmed, and toddlers were misunderstood. Families weren’t just looking for childcare, they were looking for someone who gets it.As a certified RBT and a master ’s-level educator in special education, I founded Early Steps Care to create what I couldn’t find elsewhere: a safe, structured, and loving space where toddlers can thrive through play, routine, and individualized attention.
Here, we honor big feelings, support sensory needs, and treat play as a powerful tool for growth. Parents get peace of mind, and little ones get the foundation they need emotionally, socially, and developmentally right from home. This isn’t just childcare. It’s early intervention with the heart.

Real San Francisco parents say

Lang’s Mom

Bedtime used to be a nightmare. Screaming, tantrums, total chaos. Now he actually goes from one activity to the next without a meltdown. The sitter showed us little things like timers and giving choices, and it made such a big difference. We finally have some peace at night.

Crystal’s Mom

I didn’t realize how much I needed help until I saw the change in my daughter. She used to stay glued to her tablet all day. Now she is talking more, naming things around the house, and actually wants to play. It feels like she is opening up, and I finally get a break without feeling guilty.

Elroy’s Family

Honestly, we were surprised. We thought this was just babysitting, but it turned out to be so much more. Elroy used to bounce around and could never sit through a meal. Now he can trace letters, play longer with toys, and he is calmer in general. It has been amazing for us.

Kate’s Dad

We were nervous about letting someone new in, but they really listened. That mattered to us. Now our daughter is calmer, more open, and we feel like we finally have support in our own home. That kind of peace of mind is priceless.

Christian’s Family

Christian always needed one-on-one attention and never liked being told what to do. But the way they work with him, using play and consistency, has changed things. He is following directions now and actually looks forward to the sessions. That is huge for our family.
